“BRUISED REEDS”
Some are bruised by Ancestral Sins.
1 John 1
9 If we confess our sins, He is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.”
John 9
25 “I don’t know whether he is a sinner,” the man replied. “But I know this: I was blind, and now I can see!”
Some are bruised by Personal Sin.
Romans 3
23 For everyone has sinned; we all fall short of God’s glorious standard.
24 Yet God, in his grace, freely makes us right in his sight. He did this through Christ Jesus when he freed us from the penalty for our sins.
Some are bruised by the Sins of Society.
Matthew 27
29 When they had twisted a crown of thorns, they put it on His head, and a reed in His right hand. And they bowed the knee before Him and mocked Him, saying, “Hail, King of the Jews!”
