Anger is a violent emotion, vindictive, and as dangerous to he who is driven by it as to anyone on whom it is turned.
Colossians 3:8-9
But now is the time to get rid of anger, rage, malicious behavior, slander, and dirty language. Don’t lie to each other, for you have stripped off your old sinful nature and all its wicked deeds.
Ephesians 4:31-32
Get rid of all bitterness, rage and anger, outcry and slander, along with every form of malice. Be kind and tenderhearted to one another, forgiving each other just as in Christ God forgave you.
Vindictiveness usually comes from anger, low self-esteem, trust issues, or an inability to forgive.
Malice: A desire to cause hurt or pain to someone. A desire to see ill-will come to someone.
